If you’re looking to set up or run your own business, the Level 1 Award in Exploring Enterprise will help you to develop entrepreneurial skills that will be useful.
Throughout this qualification you will:
- understand the skills and behaviours required to become an entrepreneur
- assess your suitability for entrepreneurship
- explore your enterprise ideas (sense checking, market research, needs analysis)
- identify the advantages and disadvantages of your ideas.
This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom at our adult learning centres.
For this course, you will be required to create a portfolio of evidence meeting the assessment criteria for the qualification.
To be eligible for this course, you should be able to demonstrate Entry 3 English skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
You should have experience of using a computer and/or laptop and the internet and ideally have access to a device (laptop or computer) at home. You can apply to our Chromebook loan system if you do not have a suitable device.
Career and progression routes
After completing this course, you would progress on to further courses with Manchester Adult Education to further your knowledge in the sector you wish to advance or start a career in.
You could also progress in your current role or secure a new job with your new skills and knowledge.
