Talk English

Alongside our ESOL courses, we also run Talk English Conversation Clubs where you can learn English in a community venue near your home.

Along with many others from your community, and volunteers who are there to support and help you practice, you can improve your speaking and listening skills by getting involved in the many activities and clubs.

Find an ESOL course that suits your needs

We run ESOL programmes at all our adult learning centres. Before you start a course, the ESOL Advice Service will listen to your requirements and carefully assess your skills.

If you want to improve your English for everyday life in the UK and to support your family, this course is for you. You will improve your reading, writing, speaking, listening and computer skills, and learn about life, work and volunteering in the UK. There is also the opportunity to gain a functional skills maths qualification or join higher level studies of ESOL.

This course is suitable for adults who want to improve their English to gain employment or improve their current career. You will develop your overall reading, presentation and writing skills, find and apply for jobs online and learn all about life, work and volunteering in the UK. You may also be able to take national qualifications in ESOL and functional skills maths.
