The Manchester Adult Education Teaching Academy is an innovative initiative aimed at fostering teaching excellence in the local community. Our academy provides you with the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications that prepare you for teaching and training in post-16 education and beyond.

What we offer
Level 3 Adult Education and Training
(February and March 2025 starts)
Ideal for those new to teaching, or looking to explore a career in this area, this level 3 course provides a solid foundation in educational theory and practice. You will learn essential teaching techniques and gain the confidence to deliver engaging lessons.
Level 3 Learning Skills Assessor Apprenticeship
(Planned for April 2025)
This apprenticeship will help to develop your skills in planning, conducting assessment activities and the recording and reporting of assessment decisions. You will learn how to support the progression of the learner through feedback.

Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DiT)
(Planned for January 2025)
This course is perfect for experienced teachers in the FE sector. Through study and practical application, you will develop the skills needed to deliver high-quality teaching in a variety of Post-16 settings.
Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship
(Planned for Jan/Feb 2025)
This apprenticeship is designed for aspiring teachers looking to develop their teaching skills. Through classroom learning and on the job training, you will gain valuable experience and knowledge to excel.
