Our health and social care courses are designed to develop your skills and knowledge so that you’re able to succeed gaining employment in this varied sector or advance in your current role. Before you start your course our team of tutors will carefully access your current skills to ensure you join a course at the right level for you.

The Entry 3 Award in Health and Care has been designed to give you an introduction to the skills and knowledge required in health and care with the aim of supporting progression to employment, an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.

This course will help prepare you for work in roles within Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings by developing your knowledge and understanding of the range of service provision and roles, principles and values.

This course is ideal for you if you would like to gain an awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties, learn how to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions linked to mental health and develop your knowledge of the rights of those with mental health difficulties.

On this level 2 course, you will gain knowledge of core subject areas in health and social care. 

The Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care will provide you with in-depth knowledge of core subject areas in health and social care to support progression into higher education, the workplace or further learning in related subject areas at Level 4 and above.

If you wish to progress onto higher qualifications, you will first need to complete year 2 which is the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care.

If you claim benefits or have a low income, we may be able to provide financial support to help you complete your course. This support can cover transport, childcare or technology. You can also choose to take out an advanced learner loan to help cover any fees associated with your course.
