Course details
The Team Leader apprenticeship is an exciting work-based route towards developing key skills in leading and managing people. It includes work-based learning, which means that the apprentice is in paid employment for the duration of their apprenticeship and receives on-the-job training and support.
It is ideal for individuals in a middle-level role looking to develop strategic management skills and lead high-performing teams to meet organisational goals and objectives.
Throughout the course you’ll learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs).
The KSBs developed on this apprenticeship follow those of the Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship training programme.
You can find full details here: Skills England – Level 3 Team Leader.
The course is structured with four weeks per unit:
- Masterclass (theory based lecture/webinar)
- Application (independent learning to put theory into practice or prepare for workshop)
- Workshop (practical activities, group discussion, skills practice etc)
- Evidence generation (put learning into practice to generate evidence in the workplace).
You will be required to attend Abraham Moss once a month for a teaching session. You will also recieve remote support according to organisational requirements.
For this course, you will be required to create a portfolio of evidence meeting the assessment criteria for the qualification. This portfolio will be both internally assessed and you will also be required to undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA).
To be eligible for this course, you should have:
- Direct line management of at least two people
- Currently work in a role that allows you to demonstrate the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours of a Level 3 Team Leader
- Be able to commit to the full length of the programme and be able to meet the programme modules through your job role.
The apprenticeship is fully funded using the apprenticeship levy.
If you’re a small and medium enterprise (SME), the Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship can be funded on the following conditions:
- The organisation needs to be Manchester based/employ someone to work in Manchester.
