Withington Adult Learning Centre

Withington Adult Learning Centre is located on Burton Road in Withington. It’s a busy centre as it’s the main centre for our Step Towards Progression programme, our provision for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

  • Tuesday: 9:00am-4:00pm

  • Thursday: 9:00am-4:00pm 
  • Friday: 9:00am-4:00pm 

Accessibility

The centre is fully wheelchair accessible with ramps and accessible toilets. 

Directions

All of our centres have multiple options for transport, so whatever your preference, you can access one of our learning centres.   

Walk and cycle  

The centre is a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street of Withington, making it ideal for travel on foot from the local area.  

Wilmslow Road has dedicated cycleways and is a minute’s cycle from the centre and is a 5-minute cycle from the Fallowfield Loop; a protected cycle and walkway. 

Bus and tram 

If walking or cycling isn’t an option, Withington Adult Learning Centre is well served by local buses, including the 41, 42, 42A, 42B, 42C, 43 142, 143, 147, 730, 763, 796, 111. These buses run from stops no further than a 5-minute walk from the centre. 

The centre is a 10-minute walk from the Burton Road Metrolink tram stop.

Car 

From M60: Head north-west and exit on Junction 5 towards Princess Road (A5103). Carry on Princess Road and then take a right onto Whitchurch Street. Turn right onto Burton Road. 

Once there, car parking is available at the rear of the building.
