The Avenue Library and Learning Centre

The Avenue Learning Centre forms part of the newly developed Avenue Library. It’s located on Victoria Avenue East in Blackley. 

Opening hours

  • Monday: 9:00am-4:00pm 
  • Tuesday: 9:00am-4:00pm 
  • Wednesday: 9:00am-4:00pm 
  • Thursday: 9:00am-4:00pm 
  • Friday: 9:00am-4:00pm 

Accessibility

The centre is fully wheelchair accessible with lifts, ramps and accessible toilets. 

Directions

All our centres have multiple options for transport, so whatever your preference, you will find getting there easy. 

Walk and cycle  

The Avenue Learning Centre is in a central part of Blackley, making it easily accessible on foot from the local area. 

Both Rochdale Road and Victoria Avenue which both neighbour the centre have cycle lanes.  

The closest cycle racks are outside the Tesco Superstore which is behind the the centre. 

Bus and tram 

If walking or cycling isn’t an option, The Avenue Library and Learning Centre is well served by local buses, including the 711, 715, 718, 17, 17A, 18, 116, 163. These buses run from stops on Victoria Avenue and Rochdale Road.

Car 

From M60: Head east and take Junction 20 to the A664 to Blackley. Turn right onto the A664 and then turn right onto Victoria Avenue. The centre is on the left. 

Once there, parking is available in the neighbouring Tesco Superstore. The entrance is from Victoria Avenue.  

What can I study at The Avenue Library and Learning Centre?

The Avenue’s course offer focuses on ESOL and Talk English courses, with some options to study English and Maths.
