Course details
This qualification covers key knowledge and skills required to run or participate in enterprise activity. This course is available at Entry 1, Entry 2 and Entry 3.
There is a choice of units which can be selected to reach the 6 credits for achievement of the qualification. These include:
- Exploring and presenting enterprise ideas
- Exploring entrepreneurship
- Handling money in a sales situation
- Introduction to self employment
- Market research
- Marketing products and services
- Planning an enterprise activity
- Promoting a business
- Purpose of enterprise activity
- Reviewing an enterprise activity
- Roles and responsibilities in a business enterprise
- Running an enterprise activity
- Selling skills
This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom at our adult learning centres.
For this course, you will be required to create a portfolio of evidence meeting the assessment criteria for the qualification.
You should be able to demonstrate appropriate English skills at either Entry 1, Entry 2 or Entry 3 (speaking, reading, and writing).
You should have some basic experience of using a computer and/or laptop and the internet.
You will ideally have access to a device (laptop or computer) at home. You can apply to our Chromebook loan system if you do not have a suitable device.
Career and progression routes
After completing this course, you would progress on to further courses with Manchester Adult Education to further your knowledge in the sector you wish to advance or start a career in.
You could also progress in your current role or secure a new job with your new skills and knowledge.
